George Auther Whatley

George Auther Whatley, age 70, of Benton, Arkansas went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 5, 2013. He was born June 8, 1943 in Hensley, Arkansas to the late Claude Whatley and Vera Styles Whatley. He was an Army Veteran and former owner of Statewide Roofing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlotte Whatley; son, David Whatley; sister, Winnie June Peoples; brothers, Ben Whatley, Floyd Whatley and Charley Whatley. He is survived by his daughter, Georgia Whatley of Benton; granddaughter, Alishia Vergason (husband) Shawn; great-grandson, Wade Vergason of Benton; sisters, Madge Guynn of East End; Delores Barker and Donnie Baldwin both of Little Rock, Arkansas and special friend, Donna Lamberg; numerous family and friends that he loved dearly. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800 with interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
