Rodney Fancher Berry, 63, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 5, 2013. Rodney was a dog lover at heart and was a firm believer in education. He received his Bachelor degree from Hendrix College and his Master's degree from South East Missouri University. He taught language arts for many years in public school in Missouri and later was co-owner of "The Sandwich Shop" in Little Rock with his mother. Later in life he became a registered nurse and worked for Baptist Health in Little Rock for a short time and for the American Red Cross for fourteen years. He then worked as a dialysis nurse in Little Rock until he retired. Rodney was born on July 4, 1950, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Jeanie Berry of Little Rock, Arkansas, and one brother, Wayne "Cubby" Berry of Smithville, Missouri, and many friends. Family visitation will be Friday, August 9, at Noon with the service to follow at 1 p.m., at Oak Park Baptist Church, 8200 Flintridge Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72210 (I-430 at Stagecoach Exit). Interment will follow at Forrest Hills Memorial Park, 10200 Highway 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas. The family would like to thank Dr. Brad Baltz for his efforts in helping Rodney.
