Sister Corinne Lange, age 94, died Aug. 7, 2013 The family of John and Louise Webber Lange welcomed their daughter, Veronica Cecilia , into their family April 12, 1919 in Nazareth, Texas. She entered St. Scholastica Sept. 5, 1934. She became a novice on June 24, 1935 and received the name of Sister Mary Corinne. She was a nurse and worked for 48 years in hospitals in Clarksville, Morrilton, Dermott, and Van Buren in Arkansas and St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. The last 13 years she worked in the parishes of Amarillo, Texas and Subiaco, Ark. She retired to the monastery in 2000 and kept busy with various duties, mainly helping with the Gift Shop. Survivors are nieces, nephews and her Religious family. Preceding her in death are her parents, her sisters, Therese Irlbeck, Mary Dirks, Elizabeth Johnson, Sister Cordelia Lange, and Anna Frail; her brothers, Joseph, Father Cyril, and Aloys. Vespers for the dead will be Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Monastery Chapel. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Peter Jaramillo as presider. Burial will be in the Monastery Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
