Alice Colleen (Love) Cercy

Alice Colleen (Love) Cercy, 86, of Bryant Arkansas, was welcomed in heaven Monday August, 5th 2013. She was born March 11th, 1927 in Tulia, Texas to Ed and Kate Love. Alice was married to Ralph D. Cercy on July 2nd 1946. They lived in Lubbock, TX for most of their married life where they had two daughters and three sons. Alice studied nursing at Texas Tech University (Lubbock, Texas) where she received her nursing degree in 1947. She was an active member of the Lubbock View First Christian Church. She enjoyed her career in nursing, always wanting to serve those around her. Alice lived for her family and loved times when everyone would gather around the kitchen table to share memories, jokes, and the occasional tall tale! She always gave love to those around her and lightened every room with her presence and warm heart. Alice, our beloved mother and "Gran" will be greatly missed, always remembered and loved. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Cercy Sr., eldest daughter, Vicki Poma, grandson, Trey Cercy, great-granddaughter, Lauren Hilsheimer, as well as her beloved siblings, and many close friends. She is survived by flour children and their spouses; Nancy and Sam Eary of Bryant, Ark.; Ralph and Karen Cercy of Tulsa, Okla.; Alan and Shelley Cercy of Lubbock, Texas; Tony and Caryl Cercy of Casper, WY; 11 grandchildren: Wade Walden, Ginger Lawson, Bo Hester, Ashley Cunningham, Kirsten Hilsheimer, Katie Harney, Trisha Cercy, Lindsey Cercy, Cole Cercy, Cuylar Cercy and Cooper Cercy; and 15 great-grandchildren; Lily Grace and Ella Kate Walden, Audrey, Emma, and Landry Lawson; Taylor Hester; Brooklynn and Lanie Mae Carlen; Adam Hilsheimer; Marcus and Taylor Keith, Lyric and Piper Wall, Elle Riley Cunningham and Andrew Harney. Services will be held at 12 noon Saturday August 10, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ 10900 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72212.
