Paul Wiedow, 74, of Guernsey died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his home. Memorial services will begin at 10:30 on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Montezuma. Paul Henry Wiedow was born May 13, 1939 at Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Harold L. Wiedow and Elsie J. Prashak. He was a 1957 graduate of Montezuma High School. He graduated from Grandview College in Des Moines and later graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He did his apprentice work at Pierce Mortuary in Eureka, California from 1963 until 1970. He then worked in Santa Rosa from 1970 until 1986. Paul and family then relocated to North Little Rock, Arkansas where he did fire and water restoration. He eventually retired in 2004. After retirement, he worked several odd jobs and in 2008 relocated to Guernsey, Iowa. Paul was an avid skeet shooter and enjoyed duck and pheasant hunting. He was also a state registered skeet shooter referee in Arkansas. Paul was a former member of the Burbank Masonic Lodge, the Kiwanis Club serving as a past president in Santa Rosa, AAHMES Shrine Temple, Santa Rosa Shrine Club, Santa Rosa Rod and Gun Club, the Santa Rosa Arabians Marching Band, the Santa Rosa Druids Club, and was the Sonoma County Deputy Coroner. Paul is survived by his wife Joan Wiedow of Guernsey, his daughters Cathy (Mike) Madson of Brentwood, California, Cynthia (Bob) Estock of Guernsey, Caralyn (David) Robinson of Pelsor, Arkansas, and Amanda (Jason) Secrest of Cabot, Arkansas; his five grandchildren, Brett (Tiffany) Madson , Kyle Madson, Candice (Anthony) Stevens, Vanessa (R.J.) Byrd and Kaytlen (Dustin) Callister. As Paul would always say, "See ya in the spring".
