Alma E. Floyd

ALMA E. McELHANEY FLOYD, 90, of Mablevale, went to be with the Lord Aug. 8, 2013. She was born on Jan. 26, 1923 in Cheney, Kan. to Virgil and Hazel Scovell. In her younger years, she loved gardening, fishing and bowling. Alma was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Little Rock for many years and upon moving to Perryville, she joined Perryville Methodist Church. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rayburn Floyd; and her son, Rodney McElhaney. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Crockett ( F.A.) of Mabelvale, Margie Martin (Bobby) of Rogers; daughter-in-law, Sue McElhaney of Beebe; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 9 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 N., Alexander, Ark., funeral services will follow at 10, Rev.
