Gavin Leon Wright

Gavin Leon Wright, 33, of Benton, passed away Aug. 9, 2013. He was born Dec. 8, 1979, in Little Rock to Rick Wright and Karen Wilson Wright. He retired as Captain from the Little Rock Fire Department after 11 years of service. Gavin graduated from Benton High School in 1998. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Willie Wright, Evelyn Marie and George Hart, and Guy Leon Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Kim Wright of Benton; son, Kasen Samuel Wright; and daughter, Kyla Anne Wright, both of Benton; parents, Rick Wright and wife, Bunny of Cabot; mother, Karen Wright of Benton; brothers, Richard Wright of Bryant and Sean Wright of Fayetteville. Pallbearers will be the Little Rock Fire Department Honor Guard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Richards and Aaron Crowe. Church Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be at First Baptist Church of Benton at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. Rick Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at First Baptist Church in Selph Hall, 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Fire Fighters Memorial Fund or American Cancer Society.
