Othel Alvin Smith, 88, of Sheridan, died Friday. He was a member of Hope Pentecostal Church, and was retired from Dillards and Cotton Belt Railroad. Survivors: daughter, Wanda Benfield; brothers, Luther and Dewitt Smith; sisters, Wilma Moring, Geneva Greene; grandchildren, Carla Reap, Chris Benfield; great-grandchildren, Chase, Brooke, Faith, Cathy, Andrea. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, Hope Pentecostal Church. Burial: Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
