Celia Barnett Edwards

Celia Barnett( Granny) Edwards, 104, died Sunday, August 11, 2013. She was a member of St. Paul Temple AME Zion Church. She was preceded in death by husband of 42 years, Ernest Edwards Sr; daughter, Celia Winston White; four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include children: Ernest E Edwards Jr., Shirley (Howard) Boykin, Myra (Don) Moses, of Little Rock, Calvin (Lily) Edwards of Spanaway, Wash.; stepson, Leslie Ballard of Texas; sister, Verner Dale of Gould, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2013, 10 a.m. at Longley Baptist Church, 9900 Geyer Springs Road, Little Rock. Interment will follow at Little Rock National Cemetery. Family hour Thursday, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock.
