Dana Arlene McClung

Dana Arlene McClung, 79, of Lonoke, passed away August 14, 2013. She is survived by her daughters Layne (Michael) Costello and Jacquie (Teddy) Evans, all of Lonoke; grandchildren, Will Thomason, David Evans, Jenny Rose (Gene) Brewer, Meagan Costello and Olivia Moore Evans and one great-grandchild Brooklyn Costello. Preceding her in death are her husband Jack Moore McClung, parents Eva and Clyde VanStavern, sisters, June and Dotty and a nephew, Van. Dana was a Beauty Operator for 35 years. She was a Christian who taught her family to provide for anyone in need. Her dinner table always included those without a place to go during the holidays. She lived a life of service to others. Dana never met a stranger. She loved her family dearly and preached a sermon every day through her Christian actions. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 17 at Palm Street Church of Christ, with burial in Lonoke Cemetery. Memorials can be made to childrenshome.org.
