Mary Ann Vaudean Rogers Hyde, of Little Rock, was born Wednesday, May 16, 1923, and departed this life Friday, August 16, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 90 years and three months. A native, and resident most of her life, of Greene County, she was the daughter of Arthur and Laura Green Rogers. A graduate of Oak Grove High School, "Deane" was a homemaker, a talented and knowledgeable gardener and seamstress, and was deeply involved in the lives and activities of her husband and three sons. Her adult life was spent teaching Sunday school and singing in three Paragould congregations: East Side, West View (charter member), and First Baptist. Her final years were spent as a member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church in Little Rock. Deane was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings as well as her beloved husband, Eric Grant Hyde, following more than 65 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons, Hugh (Angela) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Steve (Jean) of Clifton, Virginia, and Randy (Janet) of Little Rock. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Further survivors are her sister-in-law Frances Rogers, of Center Hill, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 20, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould. A service of remembrance will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
