Johnnie Winn

Johnnie Winn, 100, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was born January 28, 1913 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Amber and Tinnie Huffman Lindsey. She previously attended Lakewood United Methodist Church. Johnnie founded Park Hill Florist in 1956, which she operated until she sold the business in 1970. She was married to the late Dan Winn, who was the chief engineer at radio station KARK, now KARN-AM 920, from 1930 until 1977. She was the first licensed woman amateur radio operator in Arkansas. Johnnie is survived by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Winn and daughter, Jann Winn. Memorials may be made to University of Arkansas at Little Rock Foundation or the Arkansas Arts Center. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday at Roselawn Memorial Park.
