Clara Belle Waller

Clara Belle Murphy Taylor Waller, age 88, of Mountain View, Arkansas (formally of Monticello and Pine Bluff), passed away on December 1, 2013 at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. She is the daughter of the late Charles Allen and Verlee Smith Murphy. Clara was born July 13, 1925 in Drew County, Arkansas. She was reared and received her early education in Drew County, graduating from Drew Central High School in 1943. Clara later graduated from business school in Monticello, Arkansas. She moved to Pine Bluff where she worked for AP&L, Entergy. After her marriage to Roy S. Taylor, in 1947, she worked as a bookkeeper for Winchester Auto Store for 27 years. She received her real estate license and worked for Smithwick Real Estate. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her child, Roy S. Taylor; brothers, Barton, Bill, Doug, Malvin; sisters, Eunice Murphy Judkins and Alma Murphy Slocum Enderby. She is survived by one son, Roy Murphy Taylor and wife Brenda of Shirley, Arkansas; husband, Edwin A. Waller of Mt. View, Arkansas; brother, Calvin Murphy and wife Margie of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Clara had one grandchild, Angela Taylor Minge, who is married to Lance Minge and three great-grandchildren, Katie, Kelli and Jace Minge. Clara enjoyed traveling. She and Ed traveled extensively throughout the states and abroad. Dancing was a favorite pastime. They found wonderful friends through dances in Little Rock, Hot Springs, Heber Springs and Mountain View. Arrangements are handled by Rhodes & Son Funeral Home of Augusta, Arkansas. A Graveside Service will be held on December 4 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in White Hall.
