Roy Samuel Noblitt

Roy Samuel Noblitt, 66, of Conway died on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. He was born April 9, 1947, in Vilonia, Ark. to the late Edward Noblitt and Wyoma Thompson. Roy was a retired educator and construction manager. Roy was also a paratrooper and the recipient of numerous marksman accolades in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed team roping, where he won many awards, and spending time at his farm at Joy Mountain. He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann of Conway, his son, Ricky D. Noblitt (Sheila) of Greenbrier, three daughters, Janet Beene (Neal) of Conway, Sara Johnson of Little Rock, and Laura Watkins (Ben) of Midland, Texas, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Lynn Noblitt, and his sister Virginia Noblitt. Pallbearers: Garry Don Lester, Terry Lynn Noblitt, Rick Andrews, Jim Bailey, Louis Swain, Kenny Norman. A Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Central Baptist Church in Conway, Ark. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.
