Donald Monroe Bradshaw, 81, passed away on December 11, 2013. Don was born in Alexander then moved with his family to Little Rock. After graduating from Little Rock High School in 1950, he served in the Air Force during the Korean War, spending most of his duty in Germany. Don received a structural drafting degree from Oklahoma A&M College and was a structural steel detailer early in his career until he started Bradshaw Electrical Contractors in 1971 where he worked until his retirement in 1994, when he moved to Conway. He was preceded in death by his father (Monroe), mother (Lydia) and a sister (Irene Carmen). Don is survived by his sister Pauline (Billie) Clark, and several nephews and nieces. Don was a responsible, hard working and independent person who had carefully planned for retirement time. In his failing health, his main concern was any burden that he might be placing on his family and friends. His family wants to say a special thank you to the people of Good Shepherd Retirement Center and Wesley United Methodist Church (Conway) for their loyal support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd or Wesley. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5500 W. 12th Street, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Monday at 10 a.m. Please send your messages of love, comfort and support to his online guestbook at www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
