Effie Louise McGee

Effie Louise McGee, 88, of Vilonia, Ark., formerly of Little Rock, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at her home. She was born April 18, 1925, in Chunky, Miss., a daughter of the late William George and Linnie (Stallings) Fairchild. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin A. McGee; a sister, Janet Patterson; and two brothers, W.J. and William E. Fairchild. Mrs. McGee was of the Baptist faith; and her sons remember her as a wonderful home maker and caregiver to her husband and children. Survivors are her sons, Andrew Fairchild McGee of Siloam Springs, Donald Eugene McGee and wife Lisa of Conway; grandchildren, Amy Burton and Kelsey McGee; and a great-grandson, Bryce Burton, all of Conway; sisters, Myrtis Farmer, Anita McGee, Lois Akin, and Jerri Curry. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Conway. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Alexander, Ark., under the direction of Griffin Leggett Conway. 501-327-5000.
