Susie E. Barton Lovelace, 66, of Bismarck, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs. Susie was born on Jan. 26, 1947 to Ruby and Russell Barton in Mena. Susie graduated from Bismarck High School where she was crowned the FFA sweetheart. Susie also received a degree from the Draughn School of Business in Little Rock. Susie was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Mena, serving as President for several years. Susie was also a member of The Pentecostal Church in Malvern. Susie loved to cook, can from the garden and make quilts for her family. Susie is survived by her daughter, Laura Sandage Harden of San Francisco, Calif. She is also survived by her sister, Judy (Bob) Lewis of Tyler, Texas; her brothers, Raymond (Kitty) Barton of Benton, Ark. and Tommy (Pat) Barton of Bismarck, Ark. Susie also leaves behind two nephews, four nieces, seven great-nephews, six great-nieces and one great-great niece. All of which she loved dearly. Susie is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Lovelace; her parents; a niece, Rebecca Ann Lewis; and a nephew, Jimmy Barton. Services will be held on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 15, 2013 from 3-5 p.m. Interment will be at Prairie Bayou Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Barton, Kris Barton, Darren Green, Chuck Hall, Max Green, Spencer Hunt, and Logan Hunt. Honorary Pallbearers are JR and Joyce Hardage and Bob Lewis Jr. Officiating the service will be Bro. Will Ryan. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Susie's memory to Habitat for Humanity International, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, Ga. 31709-3498. Susie was a special lady, to not only her family, but to her many friends. She will be greatly missed.
