WILMA LOIS TAYLOR, 92, of Little Rock was lost to us on the 13th day of Dec. 2013. She was born on June 17, 1921 in New Blaine, Ark. to the late Jess A. and Olivia L. Wood. Jess and Olivia raised their eldest daughter and ten siblings in Wild Cat Hollow in Yell County, just outside of Dardanelle. She married at the young age of 15 and lived in Yell County for five years after marriage. Her desire for a better job and better life brought her to Little Rock in 1941. She began a rewarding and 40-year long career with Timex in 1949, retiring as a manager. She was a master seamstress and after her retirement with Timex worked at Ann's Smart Shop as head of alterations. She finally retired at the age of 85. Her passion, beyond her beloved family, was work and gardening, with a love for growing beautiful flowers. She cared so much for her family and gave so much to so many. She was the rock that all family members knew on which they could always lean for love and support. She was a member of The Church at Rock Creek. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen A. Taylor; and granddaughter, Tammy Burton. She is survived by one sister, Shirley Davis of Russellville, Ark.; two sons, Tommy Taylor, wife, Butch, and Johnny Taylor, wife Joyce, all of Little Rock; two daughters, Janet Henry of Tennessee and Linda Stone of Little Rock; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
