Raymond Lewis Dillard

Raymond Lewis Dillard, 87, of Cabot died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. He was born March 11, 1926 in Cabot to the late James Lee and Savana Baker Dillard. Mr. Dillard was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Cabot and worked as a butcher for over 20 years for Cabot Meat Market. He also worked part time for Wood's Feed Store and also worked at Dreamline. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dillard was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Dillard; his son, Raymond Darrel Dillard; brothers, John, William and Herman Dillard; and sisters, Marie Hammons, Estelle Cleveland and Glenda Hughes. Mr. Dillard is survived by two sisters, Reba O'Dell of Roland and Arlene Benson of North Carolina; three brothers, Jim Dillard of Tulare, Calif., Paul Dillard of Cabot and Arnold Dillard of Portersville, Calif.; and four step-children. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Cabot with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mountain Springs Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
