Paul Edward Briscoe, age 75, of Little Rock, died at home peacefully on December 17, 2013. He was born in Bowling Green, Mo. to Marjorie and Marlin Briscoe and spent his youth in St. Louis. Paul attended college at Washington University in mechanical engineering. Paul was married to Karin for 42 wonderful, adventure-filled years. Together they traveled the world and lived in Saudi Arabia for several years. Paul was a Life Member of the America Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers. He thrived on success in work at his several businesses and owned Powers of Arkansas at his retirement. His favorite pastimes were spending time boating at the family lake house in Hot Springs, and working on his various outdoor projects. Paul will always be remembered for his intelligence, generosity, being the life of the party, as he had a unique sense of humor, and he was a snazzy dresser. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Karin, his daughter Rhonda Dossett (Stanton), grandchildren Julian, Olivia, Grace and Bess Dossett; his sister, Norma Bentrup and her husband Wally, nephew Bill (Debbie) Bentrup , nieces Diane (Mark) Widdicombe and Lois (Mike) Cassimatis. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jan and John Pownall, and their sons, Thomas (Ambre) Pownall and Andrew (Cassie) Pownall. Also his wonder dog Henry. Paul was recently baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church. Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home at 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. with Fr. Tom Elliott officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If one wishes, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County or CARE for Animals.
