Barbara Trucks

Barbara Trucks, age 67, of the Trucksville Community near Rison, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was born September 25, 1946 in Rison, a daughter of the late Louis Sidney Glover and Ruby Louise Farrar Glover. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother and friend to all that knew her. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time with family, gardening and cooking. Her signature gift of joy will never be forgotten. Mrs. Trucks was a 1964 graduate of Rison High School. She was co-owner of Truck and Sons, and a lifelong member of Rison Baptist Church. Mrs. Trucks was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Trucks is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 49 years, Robert Trucks of Trucksville, whom she married on July 8, 1964; three children, Christie Walls and Jimmy of White Hall, Chris Trucks and Jodie of Trucksville, Bryan Trucks and Tonya of Bentonville; three sisters, Jean Selman of Fordyce, Joan Hudson of El Dorado, Dorothy Obanion of Terrell, Texas; brother, Jim Glover of El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren, Abbie Walls, Nicholas Trucks, Clark Trucks, Maddison Trucks, Justin Trucks and Jared Trucks, all of whom she loved dearly. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Rison Baptist Church with Brother Wade Totty officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Trucksville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Buddy Boldon, Tommy Butcher, Cleve Reed, Bill Young, Terry Gray and Lamar Jennings.
