James McGee

James A. McGee, 97, of Benton, passed away December 19, 2013. He was born May 3, 1916 in Lambert, Mississippi to the late Charles and Ellen Trucks McGee. James was of the Baptist faith and served in the Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle McGee, his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors, several nieces and nephews. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Monday with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairplay Cemetery. Visitation will be at Ashby's, Sunday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The family would like to thank Hospice for all their kindness.
