Brenda Gail Rowell

BRENDA GAIL ROWELL, of Sherwood, was born Sept. 2, 1953 in Shreveport, La., to parents Elbert Siders and Maudie Womack Siders and passed away on Dec. 19, 2013. She is survived by her parents; her husband, Bobby Rowell; and her children, Jeremy Henry and his wife, Melanee of Cabot and Leana Edrington and her husband, Clint of Little Rock; her grandchildren, Timothy and Savannah Henry and Max Edrington. As well as her step-children, Brandon and Reagan Rowell of Shreveport and her step-grandchildren, Madeline, Kara and Nicholas Rowell; also her sister, Peggy Harvey and her husband, Roy of Sherwood; and her brothers, David Siders of Conway and Richard Siders of Oklahoma. She was devoted to her family having left her job of 15 years at Remington to devote to caring for her children and then her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed shopping (especially for shoes), decorating and sewing. She was a lover of animals of all kinds, always taking care of strays and looking after any in harm's way. Her passions ran deep for the woods, the wild things and for the wondrous and mystery of all God's creation. She was a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church and she enjoyed playing the piano and singing. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Rd. in North Little Rock. With funeral services on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Sylvan Hills Community Church, 8019 Hwy 107 in Sherwood.
