Jewel Agnes Cooper

Jewel Agnes Pierce Cooper, 78, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 23, 2013. She was a servant of the Lord, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was born on March 25, 1935. She was retired from Burlington Industries and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cooper; her parents, Adis Lee Pierce and Virdie Lee Smith Pierce; one son, Larry Adis Cooper and one brother, Zan Pierce,Sr. Survivors include two sons, Gene Cooper and wife, Sandi of Concord, N.C., and Fred Cooper and wife, Joy of Monticello; one daughter, Theresa Sanders and husband, William of Star City; one sister, Edna Lee Burns of Portland, Ark.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec.r 27 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with Rev. Gary Carter and Rev. Zan Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Rash Cemetery.
