VIDA DAVID BULLOCK of Little Rock, Ark. passed from this earth at 11:36 on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at MD Anderson hospital in Houston, Texas from complications due to cancer. Vida was born in Little Rock, Ark. on Feb. 22, 1953 to the late Dr. Neylon David M.D. and the late Gloria David. She was the older of two children. Vida is survived by her husband, Bob Bullock of Little Rock and her sister, Sandy David Miller and husband Larry Miller of Hot Springs. Raised in Brinkley Arkansas she was a 1971 graduate and Majorette of Brinkley High School. Vida went on to graduate from UAMS college of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner. She specialized in Pediatrics starting in Neo Natal Intensive care and later specializing in clinical pediatric care where she valued the ability to work with the same families over a period of years. The majority of her later years, 1993 to 2012, were spent at Little Rock Children's Clinic where she retired. Vida was a unique individual who could light up a room when she entered. She had the ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her without even trying. Vida was a diehard Razorback whose earliest memory is of sitting on her daddy's shoulders at a Razorback game. Her family raised Boxer dogs and she was never without a beloved Boxer in her home. Vida was a loving and faithful wife. She and her husband traveled often and her love of life extended to all around her. The bond between her and her sister Sandy was unbreakable. A day rarely went by when one of them was not calling the other. Their love was truly special. The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 with memorial services beginning at 5 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home - 8801 Knoedl Ct. (just North of I-630 off John Barrow Road), Little Rock, Ark. 72205 (501-224-2200). Services by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home of Brinkley. Guestbook at www.bobnealandson.com.
