Barbara Treadway Wilder

BARBARA TREADWAY WILDER, 89, of Little Rock, Ark. went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013. She was born Nov. 15, 1924 in Little Rock, Ark. to the late Omage Theo Treadway and Audrey Little Treadway. She was of the Catholic faith. She graduated from Mt. St. Mary's and St. Vincent's School of Nursing and spent her life devoted to nursing for 50 years and retiring from the V.A. Hospital at age 76. She spent her life serving others as a nurse at various hospitals in Texas and Arkansas, but it was after adopting three children that she found her passion as a labor and delivery nurse. Besides her passion for nursing, she was an accomplished ballroom dancer, competing in the Ohio Star Ball on many different occasions. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles C. Wilder Jr.; and one grandson, Brian Leigh Osburn. She is survived by daughters, Cynthia Raines and husband, Don of Little Rock and Diane Osburn of Fayetteville, Ark.; two grandchildren, Melissa Cole and husband, Jeremy of Fayetteville, Ark. and Chase Osburn of Mulberry, Ark.; and great-grandchild, Bella Mae Cole of Fayetteville, Ark. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at Edgewood Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Monday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211 (501) 224-8300.
