William "Allen" Reid

Mr. William "Allen" Reid, 55, of Newport departed this life Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock. He was born April 15, 1958 in Newport, the son of William Bill and Alice (James) Reid. Mr. Reid worked for Burgess Tires for many years along with farming. He was a member of Mountain Top Believers Church and enjoyed gardening, going fishing, and hunting. Mr. Reid was preceded in death by his father, William Bill Reid; paternal grandparents, William and Nellie Reid; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Sarah James. He leaves behind his mother, Alice James Reid of Newport; two brothers, Larry Smith and Bobby Reid both of Newport; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at Dillinger Funeral Home with burial in Watson Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday 5:30-8.
