Mrs. Norma Mae Sivils, 80, of Fountain Hill, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Mrs. Sivils was a native of Fountain Hill; a resident of Fountain Hill for many years and a former resident of Crossett and Monticello. She graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1950. She worked at Burlington Industries in Monticello having retired in 1979. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fountain Hill. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed especially by her two granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sivils Sr. in 1996; her parents, Mac & Nola Mae Roberson Hood; two brothers, Aaron Hood and Johnny Lee Hood and an infant sister, Pat Hood. She is survived by a son, Carl Sivils, Jr., and wife Melinda, of Crossett; two brothers, Rev. Robin Hood and Jimmy Hood both of Monticello; two sisters, Mackie Boyd of Monticello and Retha Wright of Ozark; two granddaughters, Taylor Lynn Sivils and Carly June Sivils and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Elton and Rev. Gene Gregory officiating. Burial will be in the Carter Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lance Mercer, Justin Green, James Hamilton, Andy Riles, Chris Kelley and Floyd Morgan. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday. Memorials may be made to the Carter Cemetery Association, 5450 Hwy. 82 West, Crossett, Ark. 71635. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
