Mildred Marie Depriest Jones

Mildred Marie Depriest Jones, 97, of Kelso, Arkansas, departed this life peacefully, in her home, while surrounded by her family on Monday, December 31st 2012. She was born on August 6, 1915, in Marshall, Arkansas to Sam and Emily (Colbert) Depriest. A loving mother and grandmother, Mildred displayed unconditional love to family, as well as anyone else in need. She will be deeply missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Art Jones, brothers Ben Depriest, Wayne Depriest, Lester Depriest, Virgil Depriest, Perry Depriest, Simpson Depriest, and John Depriest, and sisters Myrtle Grinder, and Nancy Haywood, and an infant brother. Mildred is survived by her four children, Billy Joe Jones, of Louisiana, Jan Hogue and husband James, of Maumelle, Arkansas, Jimmy Jones and wife Jean, of Dumas, Arkansas and Shirley Dunnahoe, and husband Jamie, of Kelso, Arkansas, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other loved ones. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at Griffin's Funeral Chapel, in Dumas, Arkansas from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5th, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Allen Price officiating at Griffin's Funeral Chapel, in Dumas, Arkansas. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Cemetery.
