Bill Steve Jones

Bill Steve Jones, 61, of Fordyce passed away Thursday January 3, 2013 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. Born December 2, 1951 in Fordyce, he was a son of the late James and Helen Jones of Ramsey. He worked for Kroger's and was retired from Georgia Pacific. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Scott Jones, and an infant daughter, Crystal Lynn Jones. Survivors include two sons, Jim Ed Jones, stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Adam Jones and wife Amber of Fordyce; two sisters, Jean Frazier and husband, Charles of Fordyce, Jane Green and husband, Jim of El Dorado; one brother, Jimmy Jones and wife, Donna of Fordyce. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Justin, Bailee, and Weston Jones; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Hugh Nutt and all of his nurses that cared for him at Dallas County Hospital and St. John's Place. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Dusty Rhodes and Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Tanyard Cemetery.
