Kathryn Lee Baldus Mourot, age 70, of Plumerville, passed away, Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born December 3, 1942, a daughter of Edward and Barbara Baldus. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and Lindenwood College, St. Charles, Missouri. She was a biology teacher and basketball coach and taught over twenty five years at Sacred Heart, Morrilton; Mount St. Mary Academy, Little Rock; St. Joseph, Conway, and delivered school buses for Arkansas Delivery Service. Kathryn was also known to those who loved her as "Gal" "Cheena" and "Coach". She was a wise, loving, determined woman who lived life, "her way". We love you Gal, "Oh Wow!" Survivors include her daughters, Angela Lee (Mike) Koone, and Kathleen Oliver of Morrilton; grandchildren, Heather (Brandon)Zinser, Emily Roberson, Katie Roberson, Daniel Oliver, and Rylee Oliver all of Morrilton; sister, Angela (Gary) Bartlett, and best friend, Kathleen Smith. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Thessing, and Rev. Jack Harris officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Rosary will be 6 p.m. Sunday, January 6, at Sacred Heart Church. Pallbearers will be Gary Bartlett, Matt Bartlett, Gunnar Bartlett, Joe Mallett, Greg Mourot, and Brandon Zinser. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Bradford, Danny Mourot, Vonnie Taylor, Michael Koone, M.D., Daniel Oliver, and Bryan Bartlett. Her daughters and grandchildren would like to give a special thank you to the following "angels" who took care of our mom during her courageous battle with cancer: Kathleen Smith, Angela Bartlett, Michael Koone, M.D., Janet Hall, Karen Cree, and all the staff at the office of Larry Mendelsohn, M.D. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Sacred Heart Endowment Fund.
