Lucy Lorena (Cothran) McNew, 101, of Jacksonville passed away, Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was the oldest of six children of Bertha Aldridge and Walter Cothran and was raised in the Zion Hill Community between Jacksonville and Cabot. She is survived by her sister, Selma Zimmerman, 98, of Carlisle and her daughter, Marilyn Southerland and son, Gerald McNew of Jacksonville. She has 47 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 with Chaplain Ted Grove officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Lonoke.
