Jeffrey Lee "Bushy" Hudnall

JEFFREY LEE "BUSHY" HUDNALL, 38, of Little Rock passed quietly at his mother's home on Jan. 3, 2013. Jeffrey was born on Nov. 23, 1974, in Hot Springs, Ark. and was a prominent promoter and visionary in the electronic dance music industry. In the late 90's, he formed Cybertribe, which produced numerous events featuring top talent from the U.S. and globally. Using the latest in lighting, lasers, and sound engineering, Cybertribe events drew thousands of fans from Arkansas and surrounding states and helped launch the electronic music scene in central Arkansas. In the last decade, Jeff continued to work tirelessly to build the electronic music scene. He produced and/or promoted events for many local clubs, including Discovery and the Rev Room. He also worked with nationally known deejays, club owners, and promoters from across the country to bring big-market talent and sound to Little Rock fans. "Everyone in this business knows that Bushy planted the original seeds in the Little Rock electronic dance music scene. What is most important, is that he tended his crop–season after season–and through the good and the bad, what everyone will remember is his undying luv," says Michael "Big" Brown, a business partner and fellow promoter. Jeff also had a deep love for family and friends. His gift for joy, a giving spirit, and enthusiasm affected all who knew him. One of his childhood friends, Melynda Muldoon Gidcomb of Hot Springs, wrote, "After 34 years of friendship there will be a lot of things that I miss...Your bigger than life personality, your bear hugs, your laugh, your infectious smile and deep dimples, your ability to turn anything into a party, our random conversations and ability to pick up right where we left off no matter how much time had gone by, but most of all your genuine spirit." Jeff's cousin, Randa Stevens also wrote, "The best thing about holidays is you get to see family. For thirty years, my cousin Jeff and I have wanted to sit at the ‘kids' table. This Christmas he hugged me a dozen times--that was just Jeff. He said to me, ‘You are an amazing Mom and you're doing such a great job' with his big Jeff smile. He had the ability to make everyone he met feel special." He is survived by his mother, Sandra Lee Hudnall of Little Rock and his father Edward C. Hudnall and wife Mary of Bryant and Mary's mother Mam-Maw; his brother Scott Hudnall of Mayflower and wife Karisa; two beloved nieces Haydyn Lee and Kallie Rose Hudnall; two step-brothers Walt Pigott (Angel, Jon, McKenzie, and Sidney) of Sparkman and Steve Pigott (Kim, Cody, Clint, and Cade) of Monticello. He had numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles who will miss his happy spirit always. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Ruebel Funeral Home (6313 West Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.) Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. at Henderson United Methodist Church (13000 Baseline Road, Little Rock, Ark.) There will be no graveside ceremony. Family and friends will gather in the fellowship hall of the church after the ceremony.
