Lillie Mae Bitely

Lillie Mae Bitely, 92, of Little Rock passed away from this life to be forever with our Lord, January 7th, 2013. The daughter of commercial fisherman John and Mina Shephard, Lillie was born October 2nd, 1920 in Tichnor, Arkansas. She married Marvin Bitely in 1936 and moved to Little Rock where she was a loving mother to her four children, Ruth, John, Donald and Gary. She was a faithful member of South Highland Baptist Church. Lillie's loving quiet way always promoted much admiration from her family and everyone who met her. She was a truly gracious and respected lady we all were blessed to have known. Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Marvin; her son, Donald Bitely; her parents and six siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Ruth (John) Fauntleroy; her sons, John (Becky) and Gary (Debbie); her brother, Bobby Don (Gayle) Shephard; her seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; all who will miss her love and kindness. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 11th at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
