Durwood Lance Jones

Durwood Lance Jones, 53, of Little Rock passed away on January 4, 2013. He was the son of the late Durwood Larry Jones and the late Loretta Jones. He was also the grandson of the late Dagwood and Mattie Pearl Jones. Lance was a graduate of Parkview High School where he excelled in music, and was a very talented trumpet player. He went on to play throughout his life, which brought him great joy. He graduated from UALR with a Bachelor of Science degree, and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. Lance also went on to become a certified public accountant. He is survived by two children, Haley Elizabeth Jones and Brendan Alexander Jones, whom he loved with all of his heart. He is also survived by a sister, Leigh Allison McDonald; niece, Britney Anne McDonald; nephew, Tanner James McDonald; and former wife, Lyndell Joy Jones. The family would like to thank the many friends who were there for Lance and for their encouraging words throughout the years. Words alone cannot express what it has meant to the family and to Lance. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Fellowship Bible in Little Rock at 4 p.m. A private burial will follow.
