Sunrise, May 21, 1929, and Sunset, Jan. 16, 2013. RICHARD V. WELLS, 83, of North Little Rock, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 16, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born May 21, 1929, in North Little Rock. Everything happened as he wished. Richard was an Air Force veteran and worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for over 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the W.D. Oliver Deer Camp in Tinsman, Ark. Richard was a founding member of the Arkansas Beekeepers Association. He was a beekeeper for 35 years and shared his knowledge with his very best friends Winston Horton and Al Schultz and he enjoyed the companionship they shared. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard H. Wells, mother, Maggie Swaim, sister, Edith McCulloch and Daughter, Rebecca Worsham. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; son, Richard V. Wells II and wife, Paula; daughter, Jami R. Snider and husband, Scott and their daughters, Maggie and Sarah; daughter, Jennifer Wells and her son Roy John Richards; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donations may be made to Special Olympics, Area 5 2115 Main Street, North Little Rock, Ark. 72114. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
