Albert Gehl, 83, of North Little Rock, passed away January 20, 2013. He was born on November 26th, 1929 to Glen and Era Gehl. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Albert was the retired owner of Arkansas Cricket Farm and Bait House Wholesale. He enjoyed hunting and fishing- but most of all his last year was spent enjoying his great-grand children, their laughter from the "Candy Man," "Papa" and "Boss," as he was well known. In "Papa's" own voice to "Little Man," "Pretty Ladies," "Ms. Ally" and "Hey Sugar." He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: daughter Carolyn Taylor of Cabot, three grandchildren, Tina Bolton Windemaker (Justin), Carrie Taylor (Bobby Privett) , J.J. Taylor, five great-grandchildren, Jaylee, Kaylee, Rylee Windemaker, Alyson Taylor, Jesse Runyan, Special family friends Flo Reed, Marie Hampton, and numerous other special family members and friends, and his beloved pet, Joy. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood with burial following at Gravel Ridge Cemetery.
