Ernestine Nobles Sprinkle

Mrs. Ernestine Nobles Sprinkle, 94, of Parkdale, died, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. Mrs. Sprinkle was a native of Parkdale; a resident of Parkdale for many years and a former resident of New York and Houston, Texas. She was a retired school teacher and she worked for Rice University in Houston, Texas. She was a member of the Parkdale Baptist Church and a member of the Colonial Francis Vivian Brooking Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Sprinkle in 1983; her parents, Howard and Margaret Ralph Nobles; a sister, Sue Nobles and a brother, James H. Nobles. She is survived by a daughter, Patti Walker and husband, Richard, of Houston, Texas; a son, James Ralph Sprinkle and wife, Clare, of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Travis Nobles Sprinkle, Kelly Sue Sprinkle and Elliott Walker. Graveside funeral services and burial are 10 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Parkdale Cemetery with Rev. Bob Bridges officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Hutton Nobles, Harrison Ralph, Travis Nobles Sprinkle, Elliott Walker and John Sumner Barnes. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
