Bobbye "Sue" Gallahar, 72, of Vilonia, passed from her family's arms to God's open arms on January 23, 2013, her mom's birthday. She was married to Doug Gallahar for 54 years. Mrs. Gallahar was born in Talladega, Alabama on October 23, 1940; she was the daughter of Robert and Verna Sims. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was one of the proud founding members of Vilonia Church of Christ. She was Vice President of Board of Directors of Vilonia Veterans Museum. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Faye Langster; her brother, Dale Sims; and a son, Terry Gallahar. Survivors include her husband, Doug Gallahar of Vilonia; her son, Chip (Stacey) Gallahar of Conway; her daughters, Christy (Gary) Cupp of Paragould and Kim (Andy) Wilson of Vilonia; grandchildren: Weston Gallahar, Aubrey Cupp, Chandler Cupp, Kent Madden, Kaleb Madden, Kristen Madden, Coby Wilson, Camron Wilson and Chelby Wilson; her brother, Jack (Wendy) Sims of Evanston, Wyoming; and a host of family, Alabama family, church family and friends. She was a longtime employee of UCA's Torreyson Library and retired in 2000 to pursue her dream of catering and owning her own restaurant, operating as Pappy's House for many years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crosswords, sewing but mostly spending time with her family and church family. She touched many lives and was a great supporter of Vilonia sports, businesses and was a key volunteer at the Vilonia Veterans Museum. She was known for her sweet disposition, smile, hugs, lasagna and cookies. Her proudest accomplishments were being mother and grandmother to not only her children but many in the community. Her "other son" Marty Knight as well as Jacob Fay will be officiating the graveside service at Vilonia Cemetery on Saturday, January 26, at 3 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Vilonia Church of Christ. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vilonia Church of Christ, Paragould Children's Home, and Vilonia Veterans Museum.
