Charles Underwood Daunis

Charles Underwood Daunis 66, of Fortuna, California passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late George Stewart and Adaline Ann Patrick Daunis. He attended University of Arkansas and University of Arkansas at Little Rock and was a member of Signu Nu. Also was a Marine Veteran Charley worked for the Oak Ridge Boys for many years. He was a member of Elks Lodge # 652 of Eureka, Calif. for the past four and half years. He enjoyed all types of music and loved to dance and socialize with friends. Charley is survived by his former wife, Diane Olfie Daunis; his son, Patrick Olfie Daunis and daughter, Emilie Johanna Daunis all of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Pat Wallace (Jim) of North Little Rock, Ark. and Georgiann Garst (Lynn) of Bella Vista, Ark; and very special friends, Keath and Joyce North of Fortuna, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of other family and friends. A Memorial service will be at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Elks Lodge #652, 445 Herrick Avenue, Eureka, Calif. 95503 or charity of your choice.
