Oceolla (Ocey) James Jones

Oceolla (Ocey) James Jones, age 75, of Shirley, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway. Born in Odessa, Texas, on November 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Aaron (Buck) Jones and Myrtle (Jeters) Jones. After living in Tipton, California, Mr. Jones returned to Shirley, Arkansas, to be with his daughters. He was a retired ranch hand. He loved westerns and being with his family. Mr. Jones was a member of the Eglantine Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and by two brothers, Paul and Benny Jones, both of California. Mr. Jones is survived by three daughters, Debbie Cosio (Manuel) of Visalia, California, and Darla Privitt (Tim) and Diana Baker (Randy) of Shirley; the love of his life and mother of his children, Betty Jones of Shirley; one sister, Shirley Cummins of Shirley; his nephew, Bill Cummins of California; three grandsons, Brant Boling and Evan Boling, both of California, and Jed Privitt of Shirley; two step-grandchildren, Brandon Baker and Austin Baker, both of Clinton; and three great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Luke, and Hope. Mr. Jones is also survived by other relatives and his many friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Eglantine Church of Christ.
