Robert Lee Steele

Robert Lee Steele passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Jan. 24, 2013. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas on Nov. 26, 1945, he was the son of Theron and Virginia Steele. His military service in the Army (1966–1968) included a tour in Germany on a radar site. Bob was a city boy who enjoyed working his land, cows, and Doberman Pinschers. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Burcie Steele; his sister, Mary Kaye Moss and husband Jim; his brother, Jim Steele; and his nieces and nephews. His wife would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and all that were involved in his care. It truly was a group effort. His presence, laughter and wit will be greatly missed and never forgotten. The family request that memorials be made to the Conway Cancer Foundation, CARTI, Arkansas Nature Conservancy or any other Veteran's Association. The funeral service will be private. www.olmstead.cc.
