Earl Osburn

Earl Monroe Osburn, age 89, of Benton; passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. He was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Schaberg, Ark. Mr. Osburn was a member of the 1 Pentecostal Church of Bryant where he was a Deacon and retired from truck driving after 47 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mary Belle Osburn; four brothers, Johnny and Robert Osburn and Gene and Leroy Thurber; and a sister, Mandy McNeal. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Osburn; three sons, Kenneth Earl Osburn (Nona), Ronald Glen Osburn (Cindy) and Albert Steven Osburn; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Ashby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Burn Center.
