Ellis McEntire

Ellis McEntire, 83, of Pine Bluff, gave up the struggle on January 29, 2013. He was born February 25, 1929, to the late O. Ollen and Alma Hoover McEntire. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth Cameron McEntire; his son, Trent McEntire; and his grandchildren, Nolan, Magi, and Daniel Trent. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruth Elissa. Ellis was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather, and a good friend to many. He loved his cabin at Atkins Lake, fishing, and his Tuesday morning coffee with old friends. At the age of 14 Ellis went to work for the Kroger Company and was with the company for forty-five years, traveling to many surrounding stores and eventually becoming head meat manager. He was a member of Kiwanis Club since November of 1962 and had perfect attendance for many years. Services will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Rob Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Cemetery.
