Deborah Henry Johns, 58, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at home surrounded by friends and family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas. Interment: at a later date in Colorado. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Deborah was born August 14, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Don and Dorine Henry. She graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock, Ark., with the class of 1972. On Dec. 29, 1973, she wed her soul mate, Robert V. Johns. After graduating from Arkansas State University in 1975, she and Robert moved to Austin. She began working as a teacher for autistic children. She later attended UALR Law School allowing her to pursue her passion representing the interest of children and families. Deborah was a caretaker and mother at heart. She loved to read, knit, spend time in Colorado, lifelong Democrat, and never missed an episode of Judge Judy. She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Henry. Survivors: She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Robert V. Johns; three children, Jennifer Johns, Jessica Goulet and husband, Tyler Goulet, and Judith Johns Pellett; grandchildren, Ella, Vivienne, Noah, Bob; her parents, Don and Dorine Henry; her sister, Diane Williamson and husband, Rodney Williamson; brother, David Henry; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
