James Lewis Wallace

James Lewis Wallace, passed into eternity on July 3, 2013. He was a member of the Judsonia Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge. He was a Veteran of World War II where he served as a Signalman on the USS Tolman Destroyer in the Battle of Okinawa called the largest sea and land battle in history. He and his wife owned and operated the James & Vina Wallace Produce Market in Judsonia. He was a self employed business man and continued to be in the produce business until 2009. He is survived by his wife, Vina Bell Wallace of Judsonia; his son, Jimmy Wallace of Marion County; granddaughters, Cindy Jones, Candice Gibson and Jennifer Wallace; grandson, Michael Wallace and great-granddaughter, Jessica Jones and great grandson, Bennet Allen Wallace; brothers, Calvin Wallace (Rudean) of Bald knob, Johnny Wallace (Wanda) of Rogers; a sister, Ava Gardner (Les) Lamonia of Iowa. He is preceded in death by his son, David Wallace of Cabot and brothers, A.M. Wallace (Wanda) Scottsdale of Arizona and Vesta Wallace (Irene) of Bald Knob; his parents, Alonza Fawn Wallace and Ara Wallace of Balk Knob. He was a Gentle Giant called High Pockets by some in his youth, a great husband and father and grandfather, and a friend to many especially those who he worked with over the years and those special people who cared for him in his last 15 months.
