Wiliam Louis DuMond Sr.,

Wiliam Louis DuMond Sr., 82 died July 25, 2013. He was born February 24, 1931 to Chester and Roberta Padgett DuMond. Louis was a farmer all of his life except for the time he served in the Navy during the Korean War, and he farmed up until five weeks ago. He loved his family and helping others. Louis is survived by his loving wife, Sara McCallie DuMond; his four children and their spouses, Dana Horton (Charles Albert), Elaine Simpson (Mark), Mary West (William), and Will DuMond (Tonia); five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Wanda Hamby. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don DuMond. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at Essex Funeral Home Chapel with burial DeWitt Cemetery.
