Kurt Russel Curley, 19, of Jacksonville, passed away May 30, 2013. He was a student at the University of Arkansas. A 2012 graduate of Catholic High School where he was a member of the Marine Junior R.O.T.C, an all state bowler, avid basketball player and golfer. Kurt was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was very passionate about his friends and family, caring, respectable and the most kind hearted person you will meet. He was a very loving son and brother to Nathan. He lived life to the fullest. At 18 months Kurt was diagnosed with a genetic disease called Gaucher. Kurt just finished his freshman year at University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He loved college life and was ready for his sophomore year. Kurt was a sports fanatic especially the Razorbacks and Chicago's professional sports teams. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends. Kurt lived with us for a short time. Time that was so precious to us, our memory with Kurt will last us forever. He is forever loved by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Lory Curley of Jacksonville; brother, Nathan Curley of Jacksonville; grandparents, Mary Curley of Illinois and Jack Curley (Debbie) of Wisconsin; aunt, Michelle Curley of Illinois; uncles, Orlando Buniel and Onofre Buniel both of the Philippines and Oscar Buniel (Alona) of Canada; aunts, Lelia Navarro and Leonida Regis of the Philippines; and many other family members and friends. Memorials may be made to Curley Memorial Fund at any First Arkansas Bank and Trust. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of North Little Rock. The burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery of North Little Rock. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
