Beatrice George

Beatrice George, 72, of Benton, passed away to the arms of Jesus, Saturday, June 8, 2013 after a year-long battle with lung cancer. She was born Nov. 25, 1940 in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. George was preceded in death by her parents, LueAva and Tom Scarberry, and her husband, Leonard "Buck" George. She is survived by a daughter: Ava Westbrook and husband Stephen of Benton, two sons: Bruce George and wife Glenda of Sardis, and Steve George and wife Betty of Conway. Brothers: Tommy Scarberry and wife Ellen of Oklahoma, and Gerald Scarberry of Benton; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 10 at Ashby Funeral Home, 108 West Narroway, Benton. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., June 11, at Mt.
