Duane Brunette

The Reverend Dr. Duane Brunette received the crown of everlasting life through his faith in the Lord on Thursday, May 30, 2013. One of 13 children. He was born in Spokane, Wash., and is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Vera Brunette; wife, Barbara; brothers, Dale, John and Charles Brunette and grandson, Andrew Brunette. Duane is survived by wife, Jan Brunette; seven children; four stepchildren; 32 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nine siblings. Duane was an ordained pastor of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for over 50 years and graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. He continued his education to earn his Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Sacred Theology, and Doctor of Ministry Degrees. Pastor Brunette's zeal for the Gospel was demonstrated through his faithful service by founding four churches and serving as Pastor at seven additional congregations; most notably Christ Lutheran Church here in Little Rock, Ark. Duane's faith and discipleship centered on the importance to give God the glory for "all things." Through faith and by God's grace, Duane inspired many people to further the Lord's kingdom. A memorial and interment service will be held on Thursday, June 13 at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. at 10 a.m.
